Shane Anderies
President
Shane is an experienced and trial-tested employment litigation attorney who skillfully and cost-effectively represents employers and management in all aspects of workplace law throughout California before federal, state, and local courts and administrative agencies. He specializes in trade secret disputes, wage and hour class actions, and wrongful termination claims involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Based in San Francisco, Shane has published and co-authored several employment law articles in a variety of publications including Witkin, California Procedure; The Sacramento Daily Recorder; the Association of Legal Administrators newsletter (The Bridge); the Employer Resource Institute newsletter; and the University of San Francisco School of Law Law Review, where he served as comments editor.
Shane has a BA in Psychology from the University of San Francisco, with honors, a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the USF School of Law, where he served as Comments Editor of the Law Review, and was named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2011-2014. He is a Past President of Business Networking International (BNI), Past President of the Professional Association of Sonoma County (PASCO) and a regular member of the The Guardsmen in San Francisco and CORE in Marin.
Shane is a Bay Area native, did a stint in the Air Force, loves stand‐up comedy, prefers the movie over the book, and resides in Marin with his wife and two young boys.
Liz Adamson

Liz Adamson, SPHR is a California native who holds a Certificate in Human Resources Management from UC Berkeley. She currently serves as Director of Human Resources at Hospice by the Bay. In her 20+ years of working in Human Resources, Liz has developed comprehensive knowledge in the areas of Employee Relations, Leadership Development, Compensation and Benefits, Recruitment and Strategic Planning.
She resides in the Wine Country of Sonoma County where she enjoys gardening and an occasional round of golf.
Chris Reiter

For over 19 years, Chris has provided industry-leading companies with best-in-class solutions focused on cost-containment and return on investment. In his current role at Woodruff-Sawyer, a full-service commercial insurance brokerage firm headquartered in San Francisco, Chris focuses on client relationship management and Employee Benefits business development in a variety of industries including wine, construction, biotech/life sciences, technology and financial services.
Chris leverages his experience from both the brokerage and carrier sides to bring clients practical and progressive solutions. Just prior to joining Woodruff-Sawyer, Chris served as vice president of employee benefits at ABD Insurance Services, where he used his expertise in consumer-driven healthcare, wellness, compliance, alternative funding arrangements and industry best practices to help clients contain their benefits costs. He is a frequent speaker on these and other employee benefits topics.
Chris’ extensive background in benefits began at health care insurer Aetna, where he worked in a variety of business development capacities in the Washington DC and San Francisco markets. As assistant vice president at Marsh, he was responsible for initiating and building a Western Region presence for a joint venture with Definity Health. He later moved on to become director of sales for Great-West Healthcare in Northern California, where he was responsible for new business development and client retention for middle market and national accounts.
Chris earned his bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Marin HR Forum, chaired the Northern California Human Resources Association (NCHRA) annual employee benefits conference from 2007 to 2009 and is the past president of the Northern California Employee Benefits Council (NCEBC). In 2010, Chris was named as one of the North (San Francisco) Bay Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40,” honoring the most influential executives and professionals in the North Bay area under 40 years old.
Jonathan Leidy
Vice President
Jonathan Leidy has been a wealth management and retirement planning expert for ~15 years. As a founder of Portico Wealth Advisors, he is responsible for overseeing the firm’s Retirement Plan Services division, a group that provides fiduciary support and one-on-one participant advice to retirement plan sponsors throughout the Bay Area. A Chartered Financial Analyst® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Jonathan is also a seasoned advice provider and financial planning practitioner.
Previously, Jonathan was responsible for the creation and oversight of the retirement plan division of another local wealth management firm. He was instrumental in developing a fiduciary oversight and participant services program specifically geared to meet the needs of small to mid-sized plan sponsors.
Jonathan has worked with a wide variety of industries, including non-profit entities. Jonathan is also an accomplished speaker and has presented retirement plan topics to the FPA, NCHRA, and Marin HR Forum in the past. He lives in Larkspur, CA, with his wife, Erin.
Brenda Stutsman

Brenda received her degree in Business, Human Resource Management from California State University Chico, and currently holds a PHR certification. Brenda has nine years of experience in Human Resources with experience in various industries including solar construction, financial services, and hospitality. Brenda is currently working as the HR Manager for Vino Volo, a wine bar and restaurant operating successfully in airports across the nation.
Christine Young

Christine Young is an experienced litigator at Anderies & Gomes LLP, a law firm that exclusively represents employers throughout California. Christine represents companies and their management in all aspects of workplace law including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, leaves of absence, misappropriation of trade secrets, and breach of contract claims. She also provides advice and counsel on a broad range of employment law issues.
Christine grew up in Marin and now lives in San Rafael with her family.
Edna Siu Nakamoto
Edna has over 25 years of experience as a trusted business/Human Resources advisor. She is the founder of The HR Manager, a team of experienced HR professionals who provide HR consulting services on issues related to recruiting, retention, compliance and separation. Clients include a broad range of industries including independent hospitality, technology, small business, non-profit and education. In addition, Edna is the co-founder of The Applicant Manager, a cloud-based applicant tracking system used by organizations based primarily in the US and Canada. Edna provides her clients with a unique combination of skills and experience as a great listener, an organizational strategist, HR compliance expert and technology super-user.
Edna contributes to the community by serving on the Boards of non-profit and professional organizations and donates time and resources to community organizations. She has also achieved certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and served on the SHRM Measures and Metrics taskforce. Edna is also a Kolbe Certified consultant.
Edna, a Bay Area native, resides in Marin with her husband, son and fluffy white dog. When not at work, Edna and her husband can be seen at a local wine tasting or on the golf course.
