What Future Do You Choose to Invent for Yourself?
Jeff Young offers the following talks to help leaders and organizations see more clearly the challenges our changing future is asking of us and how to develop our capabilities to thrive in the future we choose to invent for ourselves.
Learning How to Adapt to a New Era
What I hear over and over again in so many of our organizations is how can we do more with less and less – and then even less. So many of our long standing organizations now find themselves struggling to achieve a level of success that was long taken for granted. Is this just a recession we are in the middle of or is something more going on?
Will we be poised for triumph in the next era or continue to struggle with old worn-out assumptions of the industrial revolu tion? How will we develop the capabilities, practices, and processes we need to succeed in the next century when we no longer have a reasonable budget for training? How will we find and develop the leaders we so desparately need as the baby boomers retire?
I see a pattern that reveals many of the old assumptions of yesterday’s workplace and the new skills that are needed for tomorrow’s success. In this talk you will learn:
- Seeing the opportunities right in front of us instead of the “doom and gloom” we hear about.
- What is different about this new era that you need to learn more about?
- In what fundamentally different way will companies be organized in the future?
- How will you develop your employees and your organization to be successful in this future?
- What are the 7 new skills your leadership needs to develop that they probably don’t have now?
- What is the path you can start today that will enable your company to become tomorrow’s success story?
